IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO BPUSD PARENTS AND STUDENTS

 

The state of California’s budget situation has greatly impacted education and our school district.  Due to this challenge, Baldwin Park Unified School District employees will be taking furlough days in order to support our District financially.

 

Therefore, the school year will be ending five days earlier.  The last day of school will be June 1, 2012 instead of June 8, 2012.

 

Graduation for Baldwin Park High School and Sierra Vista High School will take place on June 1, 2012 and graduation for North Park High School will be on May 31, 2012.

 

Parents may contact their respective school sites if they need further information.

Important Message for Parents of 6th Grade Students

In order to meet the requirements of the new State Law AB354, your childmust have a Tdap (tetanus and whooping cough) booster given after the age of 7.  Your child will not be able to enter 7thgrade without proof of the requirement. Please bring your immunization card into the school office or Health Office signed and stamped by the Health Care Provider when the immunization is given. 

 

Please bring proof of this immunization before May 1, 2012

                                                                                                 

A fin de cumplir con los requisitos de la nueva Ley del Estado AB354, su hijo/a debe recibir un refuerzo de Tdap (tétano y tos ferina) después de la edad de 7 años.   Su hijo/a no podrá entrar al 7º- 12º grado sin la prueba de que este requisito ha sido completo. Por favor traiga la cartilla de vacunas a la oficina una vez que este sellada y firmada por su proveedor de salud cuando se le aplique la vacuna. 

Traiga el comprobante de la vacuna a la escuela antes del 1 de mayo de 2012.
